Ange Aimée doula et massothérapeute.

À little about me

My name is Ange Aimée, and I am a birth doula based in the Laurentides.

I am deeply moved by the power and vulnerability that coexist during birth. It is an intense passage, physical, emotional, and profoundly human. Early on, I understood that this moment requires more than protocols; it calls for presence, listening, and relational sensitivity.

I specialize in supporting birth through movement, an understanding of birth physiology, and hands-on guidance to help labor unfold as smoothly and respectfully as possible. My intention is clear: to help women and couples increase their chances of a vaginal birth by working with the body rather than against it.

My journey, guided by sensitivity

I began my career in massage therapy in 2005, at the age of 18. Very quickly, I realized that my touch was more than a technique, it was a language. A grounded, attentive, and reassuring touch that helps the body cope with intensity and creates a sense of safety. I have since completed over 1,120 hours of training, including Swedish, sports, deep-tissue, and prenatal massage.

In 2011, attending my sister’s birth became a turning point. I felt, in my body, that birth is a threshold that deserves deeply human support.

I later completed my training in nursing, which gave me a strong clinical foundation and a clear understanding of hospital settings, medical interventions, and safety protocols. However, it also brought an important realization: my hypersensitivity, which is a strength in one-on-one care, was difficult to sustain in a fast-paced, highly technical system often disconnected from the emotional experience of birth.

It wasn’t a lack of competence, it was a call to practice differently.

Becoming a doula: an obvious path

Discovering the role of a doula was a revelation. It offered a space where my sensitivity, scientific mindset, and body-based expertise could coexist naturally.

Supporting one family at a time, being fully present, easing pain through movement and touch, helping partners find their place, and offering concrete tools to navigate the intensity of labor—this is where everything finally aligned.

Becoming a mother myself, and moving through a deeply impactful birth experience, further grounded my commitment. That experience, now integrated, allows me to support others with greater compassion, respect, and clarity.

A movement specialist in service of birth

In 2023, I completed the Body Ready Method certification (a five-month training) focused on biomechanics and the physiology of birth.

Movement is at the core of my work. I deeply believe that when the body is supported, listened to, and free to move, birth often regains its natural flow. I continuously update my knowledge, challenge my understanding, and integrate new evidence-based approaches with one clear goal: to help more women experience a safe, respected vaginal birth, whatever their birth setting may be.

Presence above all

Whether through birth support, prenatal education, prenatal massage, or Body Ready Method preparation, I offer care rooted in presence, gentleness, and commitment.

Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to walk alongside you during this unique season of your life.
It is a privilege I never take lightly.
